The John and Karen Baldwin Scholarship in Environmental Planning

Dr. Karen F.J. Baldwin, BS ’83 (elementary education), MS ’86 (education), PhD ’91 (education), established this scholarship to honor her late husband, Dr. John H. Baldwin, who created and served as the founding director of both the Environmental Studies Program and the Institute for a Sustainable Environment at UO and who served three times as head of the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management. This scholarship supports graduate students in the School of Planning, Public Policy and Management, with a preference for students who have a background in environmental studies or who are taking concurrent coursework in environmental studies.
