I Am Originally From Portland, OR

WHY I CAME TO THE UO AND HOW I CHOSE MY MAJOR
I chose the University of Oregon I wanted to be close to my home in Portland, but still be at a university.

I had a product design class in highschool that I loved and knew this was the right major for me.

UNIQUE QUALITIES I BRING TO MY STUDIES
I think I have a lot of different interests and specifically in fashion and photography that I can pull from to get inspiration for products

MY INFLUENTIAL PROFESSORS
Tom Bonamici has been my favorite professor. He expects so much from us and I think the work that his students put out is always a high level of work. I have learned so much about the real world from, in addition to what I’ve learned in classes.

MY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I’m in the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) club and it’s important to have community with similar interests.

MY GREATEST LEARNING EXPERIENCE AT UO
The classes I took juring junior year were a huge learning experience, especially the garment studio.

AFTER GRADUATION
After graduation, I want to live in another country for a while, perhaps doing fashion design. I’m unsure at the minute if I’m ready for that, though.

YOUR GIFT
This will help me so much with material cost. It’s been hard for me to buy all of the materials I want to for classes. Now that I have this scholarship, I can use it to fully delvelop my projects, which is amazing.
