Student Summer Employment: Ceramics at Camp Weequahic

I’m from Camp Weequahic, a private co-ed summer camp in Northeast Pennsylvania, and we’re looking for counselors to help lead our ceramics program this summer.
This position is for someone who will love living in a bunk with campers; will enjoy honing their ceramic and teaching skills; unselfishly dedicate time to helping campers bring artistic inspiration into final projects through a variety of mediums; and enjoy living and working in a residential camp community.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) is on everyone’s mind. As for questions pertaining to camp, the quick answer is, “Camp is on!” We are continuing to hire our summer staff to be part of our dynamic team.

Our Maker’s Common program includes areas such as ceramics, jewelry making, fashion, woodworking and general arts and crafts. We are actively seeking qualified individuals to teach in all of these areas.  Candidates can also fulfill internship requirements and/or gain college credit by working at camp this summer.  Please contact us for more details.

Our dates for this summer are June 17- August 10, and our first year counselors typically make a $1700 salary plus a $300 travel stipend, along with room and board.

Please check our website at www.weequahic.com, where you can fill out our online application. For questions or if you have an interest, please feel free to call or email James, our staffing coordinator, at  james@weequahic.com com or 877.899.9695 or check our Facebook page dedicated to our 2020 staff.
