This is Billy von Raven, creative director of Unbound, a student-run
literary arts journal at UO. We’re looking for designers to join our team.
Though this is an unpaid position, it would be a great opportunity for
students wanting to gain experience working for a magazine and build
their resume.
Student-run literary arts journal Unbound is currently seeking designers
and submissions from both undergraduate and graduate students. We
publish virtually anything that can be printed: any genre of writing, 2D
art, and even music scores. The submission deadline for the Winter issue
is December 1st.
Unbound is looking for designers to work closely with the journal’s
creative director to create layouts, typography, and typesetting for a
student-run literary arts publication. Designers will help the arts team
evaluate and select visual art submissions and create issues for both
print and digital publication.
Qualifications: Facility in using Adobe Suite including Photoshop,
Illustrator, and InDesign. Reliable and responsible with the ability to
work independently and also to take direction. Attention to detail
required.
