Arte LatiNext
I am sharing information about a new local network for Latino/Latina artists, makers, musicians, and performers in Lane County. The group is called Arte LatiNext, and was formed to connect Latinx artists with each other to share resources and opportunities, and work together to support one another.
Arte LatiNext invites artists to come together for regular (informal) convenings every six weeks. There is also a Facebook group that artists can join to connect and share: https://bit.ly/2GUwuYE
The group is focused on artists, makers, musicians and performers and is open to anyone! Artists can attend any of the convenings, and participate when and however they choose. If interested, artists can email me and join the Facebook group.
The next Arte LatiNext convening will be Wednesday, August 21st, 5-6:30pm at the 942 Olive Street building in Eugene. This month’s gathering will be a workshop on grant writing basics, and learning about the Lane County Cultural Coalition’s Cultural Opportunity Grant. We will also talk about the Facebook page, work on clarifying the mission/purpose of the group, and shareout any other opportunities.
