Book layout opportunity

Longtime local children’s book author Robert Young (www.realwriting.us) is putting together another book project. The topic: wolves.

The Project: Friends of the Wolf. This will be a 32-page photo-illustrated book that provides basic information about wolves, focuses on the workings of a wolf sanctuary, and encourages young readers to help protect these essential apex predators. The book will be aimed at third through fifth grade children.

Seeking: A creative, collaborative person to lay out the 14 spreads that will make up this 32-page book. Photographs will be provided. You will need to create a pdf.x1a file that can be uploaded to the Ingram Spark platform. InDesign is their preferred software. Extra consideration if you love wolves!

Payment: Negotiable, in the $300 – $500 range based on experience. You might also want to explore whether this project could be done for class credit (independent study or internship) as this will be applied, real-world learning.

Contact: Robert Young (areswhy@gmail.com) if interested. Please include relevant experience as well as samples of your work.
