Brand Identity and Package Design Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a student or student team to participate in brand identity design and development of packaging for a new product in the cannabis industry. Our lab has developed an innovative extract that improves on competitive products in efficacy, purity, taste, and price. We plan to market this product in the form of vape cartridges that will be sold in Oregon cannabis dispensaries. We are interested in creative packaging and brand designs that will emphasize the innovative nature of the product, and call attention to it in a crowded market place (as well as meet OLCC packaging standards).

We will consider students based on resumes or proposals. If selected, student designers/artists will work with our team to understand the market, the product, and our objectives. Students will then develop and refine proposed designs. Successful designers may be asked to collaborate in developing additional marketing material including a web page, copy, and print assets. For completing this work we will award a minimum $200 stipend. If the design is actually used, we will increase the stipend accordingly. Regardless, we will work with the students to ensure the experience is of value in developing a professional resume and portfolio.

While we will consider all proposals, there is benefit to having students who can legally enter the lab and dispensaries (over 21). We will necessarily adhere to Oregon law, OLCC regulations, and UO rules. For additional information, please contact Tus Henry at tushenry@gmail.com.
