We’re looking to hire U of O students/grads for our sticker company

We’re looking to fill a production artist position at our sticker company, Rockin’ Stickers, here in Eugene. We’ve had success with several digital arts majors in the past. Jordan Day (’15) has been with us for 3 years and Myla Moore (’14) has been with us for about 1.5 years. Myla suggested that I try contacting the art department at U of O to see if you could notify the digital arts majors of the local job offer.
We’re looking to fill the position around the second half of March. I’ll list the details below.
Production Artist for Sticker Printing Company
Rockin’ Stickers is an awesome vinyl sticker printing company and a cool place to work. We are looking for a production artist. Your main duties will be file preparation, as well as working on all stages of sticker production, from printing to assembly and packaging of the final product.
Job Requirements:
Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator for creating vector outlines and borders around artwork for die-cutting.
Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for color corrections and touch-ups
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Ability to work in a Mac (and occasionally Windows) environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Must be very detail oriented
Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs is a big plus (for loading rolls of vinyl onto machines)
Wages:
$13/hour to start. After a 2 month evaluation, we may increase it.
Hours / Schedule:
35 – 40 hours per week
M-F 9am – 4 or 5pm.
