Human Origins Traveling Exhibit coming to Cottage Grove Public Library

Posted on behalf of the Director of the Cottage Grove Public Library.

From February 17 to March 15, 2016 our library will be hosting the Human Origins Traveling Exhibit, a Smithsonian Exhibit.

Staff from the Smithsonian will be joining us in Cottage Grove on February 17-18, 2016 for workshops and special events.

There will be an opening reception, a Community Conversation, an Educator’s Workshop, an event for clergy and members of the faith community, and a Science Program… all featuring Smithsonian staff.

Additionally, there is the opportunity for members of your team, or qualified grad students, to get involved and possibly lead a discussion or lecture or “hands on” primitive art experience related to this.

Besides the Smithsonian events (4 of them) we hope to do another 3 or 4 events, one per week, during the exhibit.
