DECEMBER 9  |  GALLERIES OPEN: 6:30 PM |  AT THE ARTS CENTER

The Art Center’s juried exhibit, Re-Thinking Ceramics, features one of the oldest forms of human creative expression. From the proverbial “dawn of time,” humans have utilized basic materials from the earth and made them into objects both functional and beautiful.

Our community conversation looks at the Maker Movement and the blurred boundaries between art and craft. A surge in “maker spaces” is giving people from all walks of life access to shared tools, technology, and space to express their creative ideas.

The session will be led by Larry Safley. Larry is an artist, arts advocate, member of the Umpqua Makers Guild (UMG) and has been researching the maker’s movement for the past two years.

Galleries Open at 6:30 PM | Community Conversation begins at 7:00 PM

Wednesday Night Specials are always free and open to the public – We hope to see you there!
