Science 2.0: the Role of Open Access to Data and Publications

Jim Reichman spoke for one of the CEEB (Center for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) seminars at the UO on March 29, and was kind enough to provide me with a copy of his slides on the topic: Science 2.0: the Role of Open Access to Data and Publications.

Jim highlighted themes and trends from a variety of sources and did an excellent job of bringing them together to define several components of open science and delineate trends. He encouraged faculty and students alike to engage in open science through publishing in open access journals, and facilitating the release and use of open data.

You can view Jim’s notes by clicking on the text balloon icon on the individual slides.
