Best Western New Oregon (1655 Franklin Blvd, Eugene 97403; 541-683-3669) – a 5-min walk from the north side of campus (near 13th & Agate), also with a lobby that is staffed 24-7. The Willamette River is a 5-min walk to the north, with paths for walking or jogging.
Best Western Greentree (1759 Franklin Blvd, Eugene OR 97403; 541-485-2727) – also directly across the north side of campus.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites (2117 Franklin Blvd, Eugene OR 97403; 541-342-1243) – a bit further east on Franklin Blvd, just past Matt Knight Arena. They have real suites with a separate bedroom behind a closed door. You can walk to campus in 15 min or (or jump on the Em-X transit bus at no charge that passes every 10 min).
Excelsior Inn (754 E. 13th Avenue, Eugene OR 97401; 541-342-6963): a boutique hotel near the west edge of campus, with a restaurant and bar attached. With only 14 rooms, they sell out fast. Their hotel desk is not staffed much after 6 pm, so late arrivals enter through the restaurant instead.
Some attendees are staying in the modern “Living Learning Center” dormitories, two buildings separated by a grassy courtyard. Each floor has space for informal socializing, with large windows and comfortable chairs. Most dorm rooms are Doubles, with the bath down the hall, but attendees can have a room to themselves if they prefer.
- LLC North hosts the popular “Dux Bistro” dining hall on the first floor. They sell coffee, cookies, and pastry all day; make delicious breakfast burritos, and offer soup, salad, and grilled sandwiches for lunch. Seating options include booths or tables indoors or outside, facing the courtyard.
- LLC South faces E. 15th and Hayward Field, and has 6 nice single rooms with a sink on the first floor. There are a few 2-person suites with a shared bath in the middle..
