3/24/23 – 4/01/23 University Hall and Villard Hall Heritage Project Construction Activity

UPDATE:
The start date has been changed to Friday, March 24th.

BeginMonday, March 27, 2023  Friday, March 24, 2023

End:      Saturday, April 1, 2023

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  University Hall and Villard Hall

Scope:  SPRING BREAK WORK – In preparation for the Heritage Project, there are a number of investigative tests that need to occur on the building structure. This will involve the removal of wallboard/plaster in (roughly) 9 square foot sections in various locations on the second floor in University Hall, and third floor in Villard. We have targeted Spring Break for this work in an effort to reduce disruption to classes and office work.

Services Impacted:

  • Work is specific to the second floor in University Hall, and the third floor in Villard, but drilling and sawing noise will be heard throughout each building.
  • Areas where plaster has been removed will be covered with core ply or painted plywood, for the duration of the year.
  • Parking Lot #9 (between University Hall and Villard Hall) will be reserved for construction vehicles.
  • Due to the usage of a lift, affected sidewalks will be closed between Monday 3/27 and Friday 3/31.
