UPDATE: Knight Library Building Air Handling Systems Shutdown 10/14 & 10/16

UPDATE 10/6/20:
This work was originally planned to take place the week of 10/5 – 10/9 but has been rescheduled for next Wednesday 10/14/20 and Friday 10/16/20

 

Building Impacted: Knight Library

Scope: Facilities Services is currently responding to the impacts of the recent fire/smoke event. As a result, all building air handling systems will be taken off-line, cleaned and all filters replaced.

Dates and Times:

  • Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 at 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Friday, October 16th, 2020 at 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Services Impacted: This will affect the building’s cooling, cooling tower, heating, and HVAC air supply.

Ford Alumni Building Air Handling Systems Shutdown 10/12/20

Building Impacted: Ford Alumni Center

End:     Monday, October 12th, 2020 at 3:00 pm

Hayward Field Zone 4 Fire Sprinkler System Shutdown 10/15/20

Begin:  Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 7:00 am

End:      Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 3:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Human Physiology Tenant Improvement at Practice Level of the northwest corner of Hayward Field (building grid lines 75 to 89)

Scope:  The Hayward Field fire sprinkler system in Zone 4 will be shut down to relocate an existing main sprinkler line that interferes with TI construction at grid line 85.

Services Impacted:  Only Zone 4 will be in fire alarm test mode.

Extra Notes:  IES will provide fire alarm assistance. Fire watch will be a joint effort between Harvey & Price and GBC Construction.
