Beginning Monday 11/5/18, the construction fence on Beech Street will need to move further west to accommodate street trenching for underground utility connections. The new fence location will only allow for 1 lane of traffic on Beech Street. Signs will be posted to create a one-way loop through the Carson Hall drop-off that continues through Beech Street. The fence will stay in this location through March of 2019 to accommodate concrete activities and steel erection. On Tuesday, November, 6th from 3:30a-7:30a, as part of the new DAS (distributed antennae system) for PLC, a contractor will be performing work in the 4th floor east building stairwell and hallway. They will be core drilling two holes from the stairwell into the hallway to route conduit. This will impact the 4th floor south stairwell and hallway in the east section of the building. On Wednesday, November 7th, from 11:30a-3:30p, the steam to both Straub and Earl Halls will be temporarily shut down to effect maintenance operations on the steam lines. This will impact heating systems and domestic hot water to both buildings, including sinks and showers.
