Where can I find local resources?

What resources are offered on campus?

From the UO Health Center, the Duck Nest is offering remote seminars and services that benefit students during this time of uncertainty. These services are aimed at helping students create a healthy balance during this time. Find what is being offered by visiting the Ducknest website.

In addition, the Academic Advising Center is also providing remote advising via Microsoft Teams to aid students with a number of tasks — from creating class schedules to helping students stay on track to graduate. Students can get Academic Advising support either by creating an appointment on Navigate, or doing a drop-in chat session Monday-Friday 8a-5p Pacific time. Find what is being offered through advising and other departments on campus here.

Are there students going through what I’m going through?

On campus, there are many students experiencing anxiety, uncertainty, and hardship through the COVID-19 crisis. Here are some stories from current UO students that were shared with us via email:

“I have been caring for my father who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. He refuses to go to the hospital since he feels that he does not need much help. I wear the masks, the gloves and the protective clothes every time I take care of him, but I feel worried about my health” – Male, Freshman UO

“I am an essential worker at a grocery store and I feel worried about getting sick. I am glad that my work has been recognized during this pandemic” Female, Sophomore UO

“It has been really hard to keep a balance, I just feel that I have been doing so much more homework than usual” Female, Freshman UO

“I am sad that I did not get to graduate with my friends” Male, Senior UO

During this time, we are not alone. We can use this time to become closer to one another and to take care of each other in whatever ways we can.
