Hi! My name is Jenna Compton and I am a student at the SOJC here at the University of Oregon. I am a junior studying advertising with a business minor. I’m from Portland, Oregon and I absolutely love my ducks. My topic for my Gateway assignments is student rental housing in Eugene, with a specific focus on the communication issues between property management companies and its student tenants. I interviewed two students and one property manager throughout the term, focusing on one of them for each of my assignments. Through this process, I learned a lot about how student housing in Eugene functions through my multiple sources and I also learned how to use relevant technologies such as Photoshop and Final Cut Pro X.
