Updates and Upcoming I have committed to reducing the number of emails sent via the coe-staff listserv by sending out a weekly email “bundle,” that will include emails from around campus and the college. This weekly email will contain priorities, updates, reminders, notices of upcoming events and accolades. I hope that my Executive Assistant, Amy Kalani and I can save you some time sorting through emails to find the information most relevant to your work. We plan to deliver the Weekly every Wednesday during the academic year, and then monthly during the summer. Of course, feedback is welcome: Education Dean educationdean@uoregon.edu. December 2025 UO Quiet Period: December 25 – January 1 University leadership encourages all units to observe the quiet period whenever possible. Although the university will remain open, we ask that operations during this time be limited to essential activities. I encourage everyone to pause non-urgent emails and messages during the quiet period. This helps those taking leave to more fully rest and recharge and gives those who continue working a chance to focus without the usual flurry of tasks, emails, Teams chats, and phone calls.
