POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Description:

Cinematographer will use a digital camera to shoot the entire 90 minute (faith-based) feature film, “Translated.”
Cinematographer will work closely with director/producer (Jerry Thompson) to shoot the movie in the most creative and visually appealing manner for a national distribution (dvd and possibly theatrical).
In order to accommodate actors’ schedules, the film will be shot over a period of 3 months (June-August) with a proposed total of about 200 hours of filming.
Cinematographer will be paid as an independent contractor a minimum of $25 per hour depending on experience.

 

Required Experience:

Applicant/cinematographer will have a demo reel to show producer that demonstrates his/her ability to shoot a high quality movie. Demo reel will show the ability to shoot a creative video in indoor and outdoor locations with a variety of camera shots and angles.

 

Preferred Experience:

Preferably the applicant will have been the cinematographer for at least 2 different student projects that proves his/her ability to shoot a feature film.
