This week we had a very non formal “Eff it day”. On this day, as Tayah so cleverly put it, we got to arrive to BBL class in casual attire. Can you believe it? We did not have to get up extra early to throw on some blazers, tug up tights, slip our feet into dress shoes, or fasten a tie around our necks before 11am. Instead we got arrive in jeans, sweatpants, and UO shirts and other gear. It was the first time I had seen other students dress so…normal. I admit it was almost funny to see how we all dressed for our other classes when we were not required to dress nicely.
This was a very casual and relaxed day. The majority of the class was spent just chatting with other BBL students. We also got to ask our mentors any questions we had. I was actually surprised because we were also informed at the end of the class that our group videos would have to be presented next class. I was not ready – and clearly so was no one else in my group. We sort of scrambled around asking what exactly was due next class period, but then decided to just figure it out later and listen to the funny stories being told and eat Nutella and other snacks.
Today was a very casual day, and although not a lot was done, I think it was to lighten up the mood since everyone would be stressed and start getting prepared for finals. I am thankful we had this day to just chill out. Our group made plans to just make a slide, practice sometime before class, and present as best as we could. We are excited to be in front of everyone to talk about pimp my BBL.
