To conduct our research, we used a variety of methods and protocols. Using tools such a GPS, D-tape, and flagging, we collected data on tree canopy characteristics and more. During the meadow assessment, we intuitively meandered to record wildflower and invasive species populations. We followed Bob Altman’s protocol for the bird survey and used point counts for notable bird species. Lastly, we took pictures at designated photo points to document how the land has changed since 2017. Click on the buttons below to find more information about our methodology.
