Truly random photos

Below are a bunch of truly random photos I never got to use in any of my other posts so I’m dumping them here with captions. They range from class-related to totally off topic. Enjoy.

Not a lot of explanation for this, it’s just a screaming baby I found in a museum.

Planter box with accompanying sticker pointing out that it was hostile architecture which is very true. There is no reason why people couldn’t sit on the other three sides.

Another example of hostile architecture: a bench that locks up. Amsterdam was the first city where I saw a lot of defensive architecture (except for bird spikes which were everywhere).

The right way to do it. Inviting, though perhaps not that comfortable.

A cat by a door in a canal in Utrecht. He was not very friendly and really wanted to go inside.

A pop up skating rink (plus a kid falling). It was an interesting thing to see in the middle of summer in a random square.

Bike speed bumps made to slow down bikes; they prevent a bike from speeding up and going flying for fun like you might on a normal speed numb for cars.

A random bike on top of a bus station. I also have no explanation.

Public toilets in Nijmegen! They look so unique.

A cafe on a boat (actually it was three boats and you just walk from one to the other with seats randomly set up). I looked it up and apparently it’s a bed and breakfast where you sleep in the boats.

Right next to the boat cafe. I don’t know what it is but it looked cool.

 Soup of the day: tequila

The famous discerning pea from the princess and the pea. Found in Odense’s Hans Christian Andersen Museum.

A random public square that was showing the Tour de France in Odense.

Some sort of plant I saw all over while touring the country. I’m still trying to figure out what it is.

Some cherries a random lady gave me in a park. She was very nice.

A clear winged butterfly. Found in the Copenhagen butterfly garden and very cool.

A hallway made out of reflective surface. No clue why.

Proof that they just pave over the old cobblestone roads in Copenhagen.

A very dramatic photo I took. Thanks to Claressa for letting me borrow her bike.

A working public elevator! Only about half the ones I tried worked.
