Personally, I feel like my personal beliefs and values have changes a lot over the years. I was born and raised in China. Students their all had to wear the school uniform and tie up their hair into a ponytail. Back then, I found my uniform extremely plain and ugly. I could not stand wearing this white and red clothing to school day after day. As I walk to school every day, I would see other girls wearing a shirt with a cute detailed shirt and I would envy them so much. Even during weekends, when I was allowed to wear something else, I still could not wear what I wanted back then, since my parents wouldn’t let me. I had no choice but to wear cloth my parents bought me.

Now that I am older with different personal beliefs I find myself wear cloth that are very different from what I believe I would a few years ago.
I thought that I would start wearing very grown up cloth and high heels to university or when ever I had the chance like this:

Though, this is not the case. I find myself most confortable in baggy cloth, such as a plain t-shirt and leggings. My values have shifted from appearance to comfort. Appearance is no longer the priority on my list but comfort instead. As I grow older and encounter more different situations my values starts to change from the media perspective and values of an ideal girl to customizing my own beliefs.
