S2.4_H.Morrison_Midterm

Takeaways from reviews:

  • commit more to either abstraction or realism in the territory map, and have a map of the in-between scale to transition into the site
  • more collaged/photoshop renders read better than hyper-realistic enscape ones
  • add green linework to plants/garden spaces in plans, and more green tones and plant objects to sections and elevation
  • maybe don’t need so many units – could create more community spaces throughout building instead? La Chalmeta has 32 units and one community space so think about scaling this
  • think about other spaces besides garden – “everyone wants to have a garden but no one wants to take care of the tomatoes”
    • how to integrate things like laundry, workout space, community kitchen, food prep/co-op shop, tool shop/workshop
    • regeneration also means sharing resources/working together to support good living
  • think more about gradient from public to private. access points, boundaries. how to create flexible spaces
