Rituals; where it happens, how often it happens, and how it happens. These are all important things to think about when dosing for groups of people in a community style neighborhood. People want places to talk to each other and connect on a daily basis. I like the idea of programming a space to help the community come together. I feel like planner programming could take palace for the first few years and then the hope is for the community to become the city planners themselves and make their own decisions on what they want their new rituals in this, maybe new place, to be. Again, we can give them spaces to do things but it is inevitably their choice what these spaces get used for. The idea of guardianship was also interesting because it goes back to the eyes on the street notion of someone always watching your loved ones to make sure they are safe. This happens when a community is strong and willing to watch out for one another. A community garden and market space is something that time and time again brings people together and educates children about nature and climate as a whole.
