Drawings: Self-Sufficiency by Vicente Guallart+ Superilles by Salvador Rueda

The drawing on the wall of Salvador Rueda’s office in the Barcelona Agency of Urban Ecology. Salvador was trained as a biologist and thusly understood urban Metabolism (materials in, materials out). The bus system before this was not orthogonal, and this grid below is NOT the Cerda plan but a super grid. He “changed” the City, by super-imposing another organizational heirarchy (Great Mosque) over the field condition.
