03 Bottom-up Placemaking

I think this reading provides relevant background information in regards to the organization and morphology of several autonomous districts in Barcelona. The findings, and how city centers or town halls serve as uniting elements in the urban pueblo was interesting to think about in the context of our project. Social Cohesion within a smaller scale, the street scale might look like working within the urban fabric that exists already. I think there is also a lot to uncover with placemaking and sensors as it relates to social cohesion. We can work with the existing identity and daily rituals while updating and integrating responsive technology.
