De Landa, Manuel. A thousand years of nonlinear history. Princeton University Press, 2021.

Whether it is a nomadic nation or a city-state, the nonlinear history points to the eventual convergence of human beings towards a civilized society. At the same time, group decisions affect the whole society such as the capitalist economic system
This article adopts a bottom-up philosophical approach to the study of history. New institutional economics retains the characteristics of ideological individualism while retaining the concept of illogical wholes, influencing individual actions in different ways, such as monetary transactions. The industrial revolution is like the interaction of system and technology, which makes the combination of elements form a chain, which is a dynamic flow of elements. The author provides a systematic philosophical reflection on the different forms of matter, energy, and multiple existences and interactions in multiple dimensions

Data Dimensions: Accessing urban Data and Making it Accessible, by MIT SENDEable Cities Lab

This paper discusses the use of a variety of small sensors to observe the entire city from the bottom up. Through the visualization of the city’s data, people can observe the city’s dynamics in real time and better control the environment. I like the idea of integrating data information and publishing it to an open data platform in real time. When people want to know about traffic information, photos of famous attractions, they can immediately see all kinds of information shared by different people. Urban data can be connected to constituent elements, and public spaces turn these spaces into interactive fields
In addition, this paper selects an interesting example for analysis, and discusses how to track the entire process of waste disposal through sensors, satisfying people’s curiosity about the facilities, transportation routes and processes related to different materials.
