The Phenomenon of Place

In his writing, The Phenomenon of Place, Christian emphasizes the thought that each place has a poetic quality and a spiritual sense of its own which eludes concrete science and spatial locations.  Therefore, architecture should incorporate these spiritual senses/characteristics to better understand the vocation of different places and, by doing so, will create a more ‘comprehensive totality’.
