Data Dimensions

This article was fascinating in that it teaches so many different ways that data collection can be done. Also so many creative ways that it can be displayed. I normally don’t approach my design with data sets other than the brief site analysis in the first couple of weeks. After reading this article, I will definitely try to approach the design process in a much more scientific way. My favorite visual was figure 5 were they displayed a dynamic map illustrating the real-time levels of activity in Rome via cell phone usage. I thought that was a brilliant way to show it.
