08B Final Review Comments Lawrie
Group Revisions
Relating to Cynthia and Gabino’s comments on data. clearly presenting findings from data collection and sticking to a scientific method of making a hypothesis, comparing it with data, and then basing a design on what specific things or amount of them would create a suitable environment for exercise. Per Cynthia’s comments on albedo, we need to be exact in the way we present methods of data collection and why it was helpful to the design or analysis of the site. This also relates to Mary’s comments on hierarchies of data and qualifying the range.
Individual Revisions
My individual intervention is focused on the pergola shading device over the street. Mary commented on the delicacy the pergola could achieve both in form and function. This fits with Gabino’s comments of the pergola being detached from the data, with some further analysis some hypotheses could be made as to how much shading the space needs. Relating the experience of the space, Mary’s comments on introducing exercise elements such as pull up bars or exercise machines along portions of the pergola could help in making the pergola work in many different ways.
