Group Revisions

01: A simplification of elements. A common theme across our comments was reducing the fabric in between larger elements so that they are allowed to shine through. I think this can both be achieved by reviewing data resources that we collected as well as refining the logic that we developed earlier on and allowing that process to carry through our design. How is water a system? Where and how does it appear through the system?

02: A unification of elements. This also ties in with the first revision idea, as refining systematical thinking will help increase general cohesion. This also means bolstering individual aspects of our design and methodology. Support for both Water and Ecology needs to be strengthened and should show through the entire presentation. How does each slice of our concept tie in and support each other, and how is that shown from the beginning through the end?

03: Clarity of elements. Another theme across reviewers was both a need for clarity of information required as well as a representation of the complexity of the neighborhood. Carrying the concept through the conclusion will help provide a meaningful end to our presentation, and revising what is truly needed will help bring forth the more relevant information.

Personal Revisions

01: Phenomenology of Water. I am interested in further abstracting water and water processes as a way to bring water relationships into reality.

02: Graphical Cohesion. I will make revisions to graphics to further emphasize our design goals. Data, notes, and other information can be selectively filtered and displayed over graphics to further enhance a layer of understanding. If cohesion is a goal, showing and diagramming amenities and distances could help.

03: Integration with the city. I do think our design felt disconnected from what makes up Barcelona. Both genuine renders as well as a further integration of local customs could help. I also think expanding on activating spaces through gardening and ecology is very powerful, you just have to carry it all the way through.
