08B Final Review Comments
As a group: Some of the major things that were critiqued was the scientific process that we took. Some of the definitions of the indicators were not clear and could have gotten lost in translation. As per Cynthia’s suggestions, we could have followed a more simple process to define the issue and how to solve it (factual based). Mary stated that clearer data sets would have been beneficial for the understanding of the audience. Lastly Ryan suggested have more differentiation in the overall graphics. This is our some of the things that we plan to fix as a group.
Individual: As per the comments of the reviewers, for my individual work I plan to take on the design with factual processes and more precise data. Gabino also said that he wanted to see shading “devices” that weren’t as mechanistic. This makes sense for me to think about considering that it will be the main focus for the individual work. Also thinking about the placement of canopy and how that can help produce more organic spaces while still serving the “shading” purpose for heat protection. The final comment that I thought was super interesting, was to create vertical shade for the running path (green wall).
