What is Care?

Urban care emphasizes the quality of living at its very center, prioritizing the experiences of users over privatization. Allowing space to be flexible, public, and visible for diverse groups will further the development of healthy communities.

Many elderly residents are primary caregivers in their own families, performing independent daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and caring for grandchildren. Others are actively engaged in civic roles. Creating social value by supporting space for caregivers, volunteers and those living alone will strengthen existing relationships and promote continued active engagement in local communities.

An increased indication of care-giving in the public sphere will allow users to engage in accessible spaces that provide shelter and promote and active lifestyle.
