02 Reading 1000 Years of Non-Linear History
- 1000 Year’s of Non-Linear History discusses the philosophy of human history developing through material process of matter and energy. The organic flow of biomass, genes, memes, and norms is what De Landa relates both the Earth of doing and human bodies of binding to. This allows for a history of mobility and constantly unstable forms, echoing that of the organic forms around humans. Looking at humans as an extension of ecological systems is a very interesting idea and allows for a new look on how and what urban forms mean to both the Earth and human populations.
