02A BCN Problems
Social Issues:
Pollution from Over-Tourism
Excess of Air traffic, cruise chips, and other forms of tourism creates chasms of pollution and diminishes the quality of life for locals.
Environmental Impacts Of Tourism In Barcelona: Can Circular Economy Make The City Sustainable?
Gender Disparities
Women are in a greater situation of poverty than men as a result of gender inequalities. In addition, the usual axes of inequality such as age, origin, class, or sexual orientation generate particular experiences of at-risk-of-poverty. This fact translates into a lack of financial resources, but not only that. They also have to do with precariousness, lack of economic autonomy, lack of availability of own time, etc.
Refugees in Barcelona
Barcelona(locals and governments) wants to host refugees, but does not have the infrastructure to support the growing numbers.

Refugees: Spain (Ministerio de Interior / Foreign affairs?), Catalunya (Generalitat), Barcelona (Ayuntamient)
Is there a broader aspect of housing the houseless
…How relates to cruise ships?
Gender disparity –
I think the topic of refugees is huge across the globe right now. I wonder, are there groups of refugees that are welcome and groups that aren’t? How can existing infrastructure be repurposed for refugees, or does new infrastructure need to be built?
Your opinion of the idea of cruise ships and the related economy is super valid, and it must put a large strain on the city. I wonder how this relates to noise pollution spikes and other forms of problems that are in concentrated areas.
the Refugees in Barcelona is super interesting, especially because it is something that I haven’t heard about. The tourism topic is interesting and a complex topic because it as tourism is one of the biggest industries in Barcelona, how do we go about reducing it, if that’s the problem. What are other solutions?
The refugee problem in Europe has penetrated deep into society. I am glad you noticed this. Now refugees from Ukraine have also entered Europe. How does the government solve the problem of reemployment and residence of refugees?
