02A BCN Problems
1.) With the upbringing of tourism to the city of Barcelona, public transit prices had been inflated by 60% in the last year. As a consequence of the “paquete medidas anti crisis” that the government approved last Saturday, it is expected for the prices to lower 50%. Lower costs of public transportation will lead to more people using them, hence the development of more walkable streets (superilles).
2.) Another topic that has come up in many articles of “el Periodico” is sexual abuse of women in the past years. This article gives better insight on the statistics and solutions for this immense problem in the city.
