Superstore Sales

By focusing on the spreadsheet and breaking it down in certain ways, we have found that the Superstore lost $33,582.13 on their sales of 189 orders of bookcases, resulting in a loss of about $177.68 per sale. Also they have lost $74,264.45 when shipping their products in the jumbo boxes over 532 orders, resulting in a loss of about $139.59 per sale. We can also see that they are excelling when they sell paper and labels, as they have made $253,278.33 total in paper sales and have averaged about $213.30 per sale of labels. A way to potentially increase profit while also eliminating loss is to stop selling book cases, and instead attempt to shift their focus on to the sales of labels or paper, as they have been the most profitable. Also, the cost of shipping their items in the jumbo boxes seems to be the only loss that they are taking during shipping, so it should be easy to cut those out of the shipping process and should save them a bunch of money in the long run.
