I really liked what he had to say. It was very interesting. In high school I did a “living history” project where we researched a person from any point in history and on a specific day we would act like that person and tell the parents that came in who we were and about ourselves (as the person we researched.) I chose Jackson Pollock so I knew a lot about him. However, I never researched the science behind his work and in my research the fractals never came up.

It was really interesting to learn about the fractals and how they were in Pollock’s works. It was also interesting how his works resembled things in nature as well, and had similar fractal patterns as nature. In my research for how people fall in love is a bit different from fractals, but I can still use Richard Taylor as a role model. He was really dedicated to his work and never really gave up. When he was about to give up, he was inspired. He followed through with his research even when he was told so many times that it was not a good topic. He didn’t give up even when he was told that his work was “C R A P Crap.”

I am sure that he had a lot of bumps and hills that he had to get over to produce all that he has. I know that I will have to get over some of those as well. I just have top keep pushing through. I also liked how he had a passion for his work. He made it interesting and fun. This is what I need to do. I have to get past the mindset that researching is boring and make a new one where it is fun.
