Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network
Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network (ELAN) is a student-initiated organization committed to supporting prospective and continuing students – as well as alumni – through promoting constructive dialogue within the arts community and organizing related events and collaborative relationships reflective of the interests of current students. ELAN offers opportunities for students of all disciplines to discuss, contemplate, explore, study, debate, and promote art, creativity, and culture. As a collective, ELAN can be a supplemental source of knowledge, exchange, and professional development, providing a true forum for the continuation of the discussion that has been generated within classrooms, lectures, employment, internships, and life experiences.

HOPES Conference
The HOPES Conference is an annual event, held every spring by the Ecological Design Center, a student group at the University of Oregon. Inaugurated in 1994, the conference is an opportunity for students, faculty, community members, and visiting scholars to discuss the relationship between ecology and various design disciplines, and how this connection can produce sustainable solutions to contemporary problems.
