For the second half of class tomorrow, we’ll be taking a short fieldtrip to an event being held in Lawrence Hall: a workshop run by Repertory Dance Theatre of Utah. We want this to be more of an experience than an assignment, but there are a few resources you might look over before then. The first is on the RDT site, here, and will provide some info about the project they’ll be workshopping (this afternoon as well as tomorrow…). The other resources are in the Diigo group list, and we peeked at them last week: the Ecovention online catalog and the Open Green Map project. Each represents a ‘remix’ of sorts that might help us to push our thinking on that concept with regards to arts and culture sector work/programming.
Speaking of maps, one of our co-travelers in this course has issued a “call for contributions” to her fieldguide project, which focuses on urban decay photography in Eugene. See her posted call here. She’s asking us to provide locations for her to include in the guide, using this map:
