The Case for Elitism was published by The Arts Council / An Chomairle Ealaion in 2007 as part of a series of commentaries on the value of the arts. Our focus in Art and Society to date has been largely culturally democratic. Is it possible to be both culturally democratic and elitist? Do elitist perspectives have value?
