Registration, Schedule of Classes, Academic Calendars

Your UO ID number and PAC notification should have been sent to you from the UO Admissions/Registrar office a few weeks after you submitted your UO Application.  If you didn’t receive this notification, please contact UO Admissions/Registrar at registrar@uoregon.edu.

If you have received your UO ID number and PAC (personal access code) notification from UO Admissions/Registrar, you will need to register for fall term courses noted below via DuckWeb.

Fall Registration

For students new to the university, there will be several opportunities to register for fall classes and learn about student resources through the UO Orientation Program.  Please refer to the New Undergraduate Students website for more information on how to register for an orientation session which will either be an IntroDUCKtion session in the summer or a Week of Welcome session in the fall.

Please review the BLA Handbook, the BLA term-by-term curriculum guide, and the BLA course list prior to new student advising during IntroDUCKtion or Week of Welcome.  After you attend either an IntroDUCktion advising session or a Week of Welcome advising session, you will receive the information you need to register for fall.

In the beginning of fall term, the BLA director will contact you to set up an advising meeting to help you map out future coursework for winter and spring term and help you to get acquainted with the program.

Individualized Study Courses & Pre-Authorization

If you need to register for an individualized study course that requires pre-authorization (research, reading, special problems), please refer to the pre-authorization form and related instructions on the current student website.

Mandatory Hardware and Software Requirements

Digital tools are necessary for all landscape architects. The department requires all students to have unlimited access to their own personal computer. Because of the professional application of complex graphic programs and large data files for most coursework, the department’s computer requirements exceed the average user’s computing needs. See the Student Computer Purchasing Guide on the College of Design Technology Services blog for recommended specifications and departmental requirements. In addition to hardware requirements, please note the department’s specific software requirements and recommendations.

College of Design Student Services

The College of Design Student Services office offers general education advising, career services, job and internship assistance, scholarship information, and referrals to student groups so that you can explore, engage, and connect through classes, internships, and events.
