Grad Day Architecture and Interior Architecture

Welcome New Graduate Students Offered Admission for 2020

Thank you for all your patience and willingness to work with us this year as we navigated a transition to a fully virtual campus in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Due to University closures, Grad Day was held via the Zoom platform. We were happy to see so many of you join us. We have provided presentation slides, recordings and student work below for those of you who were not able to join us live.

Each year, we welcome admitted Architecture and Interior Architecture graduate students to Grad Day to visit the School of Architecture & Environment in the College of Design, learn about faculty research and scholarship, hear about the programs and opportunities, visit studios and research laboratories, and meet potential classmates. Portland and Eugene Grad Days are held on separate days. We encourage you to explore the resources provided below and learn how we plan to support your educational gioals!

HOPES Conference

The Ecological Design Center’s HOPES (Holistic Options for Planet Earth Sustainability) Conference takes place in April. The HOPES conference is the largest student run conference on sustainability in the world. Since its creation in 1995, the HOPES Conference has remained the only ecological design conference developed and managed by students. HOPES features nationally recognized keynote speakers, expert panel discussions, hands-on workshops, green business expo, a 24-hour design charrette, environmental art, and more!
