The whole project is defined as a program including park for the neighborhood,  a maker space, a study center, a commercial and accommodating complex with bridge system connecting the nearby commercial center and community.

This term I was focusing on how to make my concept design a real project that is able to be built. Main goals I was trying to achieve are: finishing site design and water circulation , finishing the bridge system design between different phases, finishing structure, Geothermal & HVAC system, enclosure detail and roof design for the maker space. I meet lots of challenges, and tried hard to solve them, although some of them might still need more consideration and be more detailed.

During final review, I was given lots of advises by critics, and some of them are pretty valuable. Remember the 10-story hotel we were talking about to be the last phase of the project? Ginger said it can be combined the together with the idea of having accommodation for artists. So I think the hotel part can be designed as a low rent apartment for artist while being the first phase of the whole project, and collecting money for the maker space while appealing more artists here and establish art atmosphere for this area. And some other critics believe the bridge system in the plaza is over designed because it might cost too much while I think this is the spacial experience I want to achieve.

I am now making my portfolio and will try to dig more of these design and concept on this project. Hope it can become better and stronger.
