Mycelium art

I thought these images were really cool. The first is a simple art project creating prints from mushrooms. It’s pretty easy to do, you just push it down on some paper, keep some constant pressure and let it dry.

The next image is not so simple. These artists are creating drawing by drawing with food cultures and then growing mycelium over them. Mycelium shows its biological intelligence by growing towards the food. these amazing pieces of artwork are prepped and then the mycelium plays the role of the artist and draws the picture.

Yes this picture is not drawn directly by a person, its grown with mycelium! It may be possible to use this technique to redesign more efficient routes to transit systems and more!
