My final review for this quarter went fairly well. I got a lot of useful feedback, some of which I have not yet been able to fully process. My overall scheme, program, and approach were generally supported, meeting my primary goal for the review. The most negative feedback was that I hadn’t related the change in people’s relationship to food that my project implies to the architecture of the project. Nor or have I clarified what and where food is grown in the area. There were also some doubts with the reviewers as to my roof form, and the extent to which the market area has become a permanently covered space.
I am satisfied with the way that my final presentation showed the ideas that I have to date, and with the level of design development that I was able to achieve. However, I think I need to take apart quite a lot of that development and make some reconsiderations. I plan on starting by doing a lot of interior sketch vignettes of the market, keeping food more in the center of what I am thinking about. I will probably rework the loading area, and (again? still?) clarify the relationship of the inner side of the housing podiums to the market space.

This kind of great color alternatives! This can be a breath of clean air and inspires me… and is further cool because I reside in columbia as well— fascinating to find out a post from this city! 🙂
