.
We need a divorce. A little one.
We committed too soon. We were young. Well, at any rate, you were. You weren’t ready to provide me with what I need in a design. It isn’t good enough that you have a beautiful massing and interesting exterior spaces. I need a design that can pull its weight. I need you to perform, to function. I need a design that is beautiful on the inside.
And right now you just can’t provide me with that.
I mean, look at that floor plan. Ugh. Embarrassing for the both of us.
It’s time to move on. I won’t forget the good times we’ve had, or the lessons I’ve learned from our time together. Maybe in May we can talk about marriage again. I hear June is a good time for weddings. And, uh, graduation.
So I’ll keep your lovely picture by my desk, and we’ll see where this road leads us.
I’m sorry, but it’s not me, it’s you.
Glad to know I’m not the only one considering this! Great post I’m glad to see some humor on the blog for once
It takes this kind of tough love to move forward!
Forgot to say don’t throw the Babe out with the bathwater. Your original organizational diagram and your interest in earth sculpting / green roofs are very promising, they just need to come together in different ways.
Agreed. I think the work I’ve done with this so far has been, and will be, very valuable to my design as it progresses. I just can’t settle down for the married life just yet 🙂
I don’t recall Bellagio having identical issues with the mosaic flooring. The tiles in the lobby and Conservatory are likely in the highest traffic region in Las Vegas, and they’re in superb condition after almost eight years. What did Steve do differently?
