After the first review I realized that I was completely stuck deciding on the best site for my thesis proposal. I sort of wasted sometime doing that, but I think it was worth it since now I have a better Idea on what to do. I got really good comments this Friday; the reviewers mentioned that I should determine what housing typologies I want to focus on and define them, is this a single prototype house, a combination of two, a community involve project? I think it could be all of them. They mentioned that I should definitely take in consideration the existing fabric but not to limit myself on making new intervention for better living qualities that I could provide to these people. After talking to them I realized that my thesis do have a lot of potential to be develop and all those changes should come from the nature of the culture, site and the people. There were three things they said I should tackle on, the climate, and the fact that houses grow as household does and that the lots at the corner on each block are bigger and are becoming more commercial.
What is next?
The next step for me is to finally do the site model since I am behind on this. I need to start working on elevation, plan and section for each typology that I would want to approach, explore the housing layout and how this prototype will relate to the community at large.
Glad to see this cogent summary of the critics thoughts and your reactions to them.
Reminds me of my own home (in a way.) I love your paint colours and also the whole location looks so comfy and welcoming.
