My macro moves of my project proposed ideas on how to engage the waterfront edge within Casco Viejo.  I plan to engage Casco’s edge vernacular: the seawalls, beaches, & rock within my design proposal.  Casco reveals a beautiful built language between this dense, old walled colonial city with a natural bay edge now providing habitat for nesting turtles.  (note: this is a very small population as 1-3 turtles have been discovered nesting but it is quite possible there could be more, given there is not currently a focus group to monitor turtle nesting.  not to mention the fact of the increased likelihood with PTY urbanizing.)

I agree with the juror’s comments if this is an opportunity to blend the built environment with the natural, stronger design considerations are needed.  I do want to be sensitive to the numbers and allow the design to dictate accessibility occurrences.

I did some careful research considering the history of the site and will take these considerations into what it should become.  Below are concept models from previous studies.
